Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders is an epic gangster family tv series set in the lawless streets of 1920s Birmingham and beyond. The inspiration for the series, created and written by Steven Knight, is a real gang called the Peaky Blinders. The series tells the story of leader Tommy Shelby’s evolution from slum crime lord to legitimate businessman, captain of industry and now Member of Parliament and of his gang, which was feared for sewing razor blades into the front of their peaked caps.

With a spectacular cast that includes Cillian Murphy (Dunkirk), Helen McCrory (Skyfall), Paul Anderson (The Revenant), Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), Annabelle Wallis (The Mummy), Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), Adrien Brody (Grand Budapest Hotel), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games) and Tom Hardy (Mad Max), creator Steven Knight’s phenomenal vision of a family’s odyssey through British society is intense, deeply moving, and wildly entertaining.

Series five aired on the BBC in September 2019 and will be available on Netflix in the rest of the World from October 2019.
